DLA Piper wins at Legal Week Innovation Awards 2022

DLA Piper has won the award for International Law Firm Innovation at a virtual ceremony on 29 April celebrating Law.com International’s annual Legal Innovation Awards 2022.

Hosted by Legal Week, and now in its eighth year, the event celebrates the exceptional accomplishments of law firms, chambers, in-house legal departments and alternative business structures that promote innovation within the sector. Winners were recognised for their work on pioneering projects and initiatives and collaborating with colleagues across a range of markets and disciplines.

DLA Piper was commended for developing technology to support lawyers by working with digital applications as part of their day-to-day role. The firm partnered with software provider Automation Anywhere and legal and non-legal teams across its entire international business, including Intellectual Property, Litigation, Corporate, Regulatory Affairs, HR, Learning & Development and Credit Control.

David Huston, DLA Piper’s Head of Business Process Improvement, commented: “It’s brilliant to see our legal and business services teams recognised for their inspiring work throughout an undeniably difficult year. We are focused on expanding our Law& brand and shifting the way law firms approach traditional legal services. This achievement further demonstrates our investment in, and commitment to, innovation aimed towards transforming the client experience, as the industry continues to evolve.”

In addition to this accolade, DLA Piper was shortlisted in the following categories:

  • CSR Innovation, for its work on Project Afghanistan.
  • Leading PR & Communications Innovation, for its One Voice Made of Many campaign.
