DLA Piper advises Senex Energy Ltd on long term gas sales agreement

Global law firm DLA Piper is proud to have advised Senex Energy Ltd on its new long-term gas sales agreement with Adbri Limited.

Senex is an established and growing Australian producer of natural gas. Adbri is a pioneering Australian construction materials and industrial mineral manufacturing company.

Under the seven-year arrangement, Senex will supply up to 11 petajoules of natural gas to support Adbri’s South Australian manufacturing operations to 2030. Gas supply will commence in January 2023 and will be delivered to Adbri at the Moomba Gas Hub at a fixed price, in line with current market levels.

The team advising Senex was led by partner Tom Fotheringham and special counsel Jack Brumpton, with support from solicitor Sarah Griffiths.

Jack Brumpton commented “We are delighted to have supported Senex on this important transaction that creates a strong and mutually-beneficial relationship between two leading Australian businesses, and broadens Senex’s customer base throughout the east coast of Australia. We are excited about the opportunities that remain in store for Senex as they continue to grow their business.”

The transaction is another example of DLA Piper’s market-leading energy, resources and Project practices.
