Lane E. McKee's practice focuses on white collar criminal defense, investigations, and complex commercial litigation. 

She has represented companies, boards of directors, and individuals in investigations conducted by the US Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the New York Attorney General's Office as well as other federal, state, and international government and regulatory agencies.  These matters have covered areas such as bribery and corruption, insider trading, and initial public offering practices.  Lane also represents clients in a wide variety of compliance matters, including those stemming from the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the UK Bribery Act.  Additionally, Lane assists corporate clients with the design, enhancement, and implementation of global compliance programs—both proactively to prevent and detect criminal conduct and as a remediation response to findings from internal and external investigations.

  • Represented large apparel company in trademark infringement and counterfeiting litigation pending in the District of New Jersey
  • Represented Paycheck Protection Program lender in connection with government investigation, civil enforcement proceedings, and related dispute arising out of approximately US$7 billion loan portfolio
  • Represented an international media network defending against defamation claims pending in the Southern District of New York
  • Represented large apparel company in federal jury trial involving trademark infringement claims in the District of Pennsylvania
  • Represented international bank in connection with Anti-Terrorism Act claims
  • Represented a global public technology company in connection with a DOJ/SEC investigation of alleged bribery violations obtaining a DOJ declination letter
  • Represented Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in connection with investigation of response to winter weather at John F. Kennedy International Airport
  • Represented a major food company and its Board of Directors in securities fraud class action and related derivative claims alleging fraudulent channel stuffing
  • Represented a high-ranking executive of General Motors in the GM ignition switch investigation by DOJ, the Department of Transportation, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
  • Represented an RMBS Trader in a criminal securities fraud prosecution in the District of Connecticut and in a parallel SEC enforcement action
