DLA Piper’s Iris network in Ireland is pleased to host this OUTLaw seminar in collaboration with Irish Women Lawyers Association, on the topic of surrogacy and the Children and Family Relationships Act 2015. Claire O’Connell, who recently addressed the Oireachtas Committee on International Surrogacy, will talk about the current legal status of Irish parents who grow their families through a surrogacy journey, the proposed legal framework and the work of campaigners to influence this new legislation.
Claire is a legal clerk with the Legal Aid Board, PhD student in children’s rights/legal parentage in AHR, Board Member of LGBT Ireland.
