DLA Piper (Canada) LLP welcomes new associate Joseph (Joe) Soifer

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP welcomes Joseph (Joe) Soifer to the firm’s Edmonton office as an associate in the Corporate and Capital Markets groups.

Joe has a corporate law practice with a focus on corporate finance, corporation reorganizations, and mergers and acquisitions. He has assisted clients with corporate reorganizations, private placement issuances, and mergers and acquisitions across a wide range of industries. Joe has also assisted Canadian startups in respect of their seed and early-stage financings.

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Joe worked at an Alberta-based business law firm. While at law school, Joe was on the executive committee for the University of Alberta Law Students’ ‎Association and represented the Faculty of Law on an inter-faculty university council. Joe was part of the Tortfeasors law ‎hockey team and the Golden Barristers rugby team.
