New Head of Corporate appointed at DLA Piper in Austria

Elisabeth Stichmann has been appointed as head of the Corporate practice at DLA Piper Austria as of 1 February. She succeeds Christoph Mager, who was appointed Country Managing Partner for Austria in November last year.

Having joined DLA Piper in 2008, Elisabeth Stichmann was promoted to partner in 2016. She specialises in advising national and international clients on corporate and business law matters. She also regularly coordinates work with cross-border teams along with a focus on the life sciences sector.

Mager, who led the Corporate practice at the firm’s Vienna office for 13 years, will focus on the strategic development of DLA Piper Austria in his capacity as Country Managing Partner in addition to continuing his client work.

Christoph Mager said: "I would like to thank the entire Corporate team for such an exciting and successful time over the past 13 years. I hand over the baton to the responsible and experienced hands of Elisabeth who is not only an excellent corporate lawyer and valued colleague, but also a true role model in our profession."

Elisabeth Stichmann commented: "I am very grateful for the trust placed in me and I am delighted to take on this significant responsibility to lead the Corporate practice here in Austria. I will work tirelessly to continue the great work done by Christoph for so many years and play a decisive role in shaping the firm's further success."
