DLA Piper Canada welcomes associate Kate Bresner

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP welcomes Kate Bresner to the firm’s Toronto office in the Employment and Labour group.‎

Kate has experience advising clients on a broad range of employment and labour law matters, including ‎issues that arise in hiring and termination, employment standards, the development of workplace policies, ‎disability and accommodation, human rights, harassment and discrimination, investigations, workplace discipline, and collective bargaining. Kate regularly ‎drafts employment contracts, independent contractor agreements, and workplace policies. She has ‎represented clients before various levels of court and tribunals, including the Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Labour Relations Board, and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Kate practiced employment and labour law at both a large global employment ‎and labor law firm and a regional full-service firm. She also articled at a union-side labour firm and worked ‎in-house at a regional police service.
