About

Joaquín is a partner in the Litigation and Regulatory practice, where he leads the EU and Competition group and the foreign investments team. He also heads the firm’s Technology sector and co-heads the Sustainability & ESG practices in Spain.

With a deep understanding of tech and regulatory landscapes, Joaquín regularly advises on corporate acquisitions, foreign investments, divestment procedures and strategic agreements between companies.

He also leads complex internal investigations associated with potential litigation and claims, particularly in regulatory, compliance and corporate governance contexts.

  • Advising Oaktree Capital Management on the 2-to-1 merger of Panrico and Bimbo.
  • Advising the UK Government (UK Department for Business, Innovation and Skills) on State aid in the creation of the UK Green Investment Bank.
