Reza Nader advises clients on US federal income taxation with a focus on international tax planning and mergers and acquisitions. He has extensive experience advising clients on achieving tax efficiencies, the impact of changes in tax law, and risk minimization. He regularly advises clients on tax structuring for global transactions, often as part of dispositions, acquisitions, or legal entity rationalization projects. Reza also specializes in the taxation of the digital economy, including taxation of fintech and cryptocurrency/blockchain transactions, supply chain restructurings, transfer pricing, and bankruptcy reorganizations.

EXPERIENCE

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Reza:

  • Represented public and privately held companies in planning for carve-outs and post-acquisition integration;
  • Represented companies in forming joint ventures and alliances;
  • Represented companies in planning for tax efficiencies in response to changes in US and international tax law, including changes to their tax structure and supply chain;
  • Represented companies in tax policy matters;
  • Served as Chair of New York Tax Practice, Co-Chair of National Tax Planning and Transactions Practice, member of the Blockchain Steering Committee and member of the Pillar Two Steering Committee of a global law firm.
