She has experience in a range of commercial transactions including sales of property and assets, joint ventures and commercial leases, which routinely involves drafting and reviewing various commercial agreements and related documents, performing due diligence investigations, and conducting data privacy compliance assessments.

EXPERIENCE

  • Assisted with a series of transactions on behalf of a large South African property developer, an international banking group and other property holding companies, in which certain properties and rental enterprises conducted thereon were consolidated into a single property holding company, whereafter certain investors obtained an equity interest in the single property holding company. This included reviewing, negotiating and amending various commercial documents, including, a share repurchase agreement, share disposal agreements, subscription and sale of shares agreements, as well as drafting various board and shareholder authorising resolutions, board resignation letters, among others. Assisting with practical implementation of each of the transactions and working closely with COSECs.*
  • Acted for a large South African bank in various financing arrangements with property development, real estate management and investment companies. This included assisting with the drafting of various acquisition, land, development, term and bridge loan facility agreements, security documentation and authorising resolutions.*
  • Advised a large international social media group of companies and various other international and local companies with respect to South African data privacy laws.*

Danielle joined a South African law firm as a candidate attorney in January 2018 where she completed her articles and worked as an Associate in the corporate and commercial department. Danielle joined DLA Piper South Africa in January 2022.
