Employment Law Health Check 2021 - Asia

Earlier this year, at a time of unprecedented challenges for business, we offered employers the opportunity to complete our Employment Law Health Check surveys covering China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand.

Our questions put the spotlight on employment law compliance in each of these jurisdictions and highlighted the key issues for employers impacting on brand, retention of talent, and legal and financial liabilities.

The results show that, for many employers, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact – from the implementation of new ways of working, to a reduced focus on less pressing concerns, potentially resulting in a reduction in full employment law compliance. However, as 2021 progresses, it is now time to regroup and move forward.
