DLA Piper advises TRATON SE on the acquisition of Loom Technologies GmbH

DLA Piper has advised TRATON SE, a leading global commercial vehicle manufacturer, and its subsidiary TB Digital Services GmbH on the acquisition of logistics software provider Loom Technologies GmbH.

Loom Technologies offers software solutions in the area of transport management in order to optimise logistics processes in companies and save costs. The aim is to continuously increase the efficiency of logistics through intelligent organisation, mathematical optimisation and a sound information basis for the company management.

With its brands Scania, MAN, Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus, Navistar and RIO, TRATON SE is one of the world's leading commercial vehicle manufacturers. The range includes lightweight commercial vehicles, trucks and buses. TRATON GROUP has also been offering an open, cloud-based solution for the entire transport and logistics ecosystem since 2016 with its digital brand RIO. The aim is to connect all participants in the supply chain with the help of digital services from RIO and partners. RIO offers a cloud-based solution that can be used regardless of the vehicle brand due to its open infrastructure.
