DLA Piper advises LIP Invest on the acquisition of a logistics property south of Berlin

DLA Piper has advised LIP Invest (LIP), a leading investment manager and fund initiator for logistics properties in Germany, on the acquisition of a property in Thyrow for one of its logistics funds. The property consists of an existing building and a new building, both of which are let on long-term leases. A planned extension with 2,400 m2 will be completed in 2022 and is currently available for lease. The seller of the logistics properties is BREMER Projektentwicklung.

The logistics buildings combine a total lettable area of around 14,700 m2. Thyrow is located in the south of Berlin and is part of the logistics and metropolitan region of Berlin/Brandenburg. In addition to Berlin, other sales markets in the cities of Magdeburg, Leipzig/Halle or Dresden can be served quickly. The location is suitable for both the supply of urban centres and central delivery.

LIP is a leading investment manager and fund initiator for logistics properties in Germany. With an investment volume of approximately EUR1.4 billion , the LIP portfolio now consists of 50 properties with a total lettable area of more than one million m2 and rental income of over EUR60 million. The entire property portfolio is fully let.
