Eric Hall

Eric Hall champions clients through the full complement of state and federal litigation, with a special focus on sophisticated product categories such as pharmaceuticals, consumer electronics, and blockchain applications. Eric has experience navigating commercial disputes, regulatory investigations and enforcement actions, and consumer class actions across multiple jurisdictions. He takes pride in breaking down complicated subjects into simple, intuitive concepts for decisionmakers such as judges and government agencies.

Eric has worked on both large case teams and lean efficient ones. He recently led associates in high-stakes multi-faceted litigation for a major global insulin manufacturer facing several interrelated class action lawsuits, state attorneys general investigations, federal regulatory inquiries, and Congressional hearings. He has also represented a technology company facing fast-pace FTC litigation that involved managing teams of attorneys through document review and deposition prep on a compressed timeframe. Eric practices with a keen eye towards efficiency. On matters requiring smaller teams, Eric seeks out opportunities to deliver cost-effective solutions. He has negotiated swift settlements on consumer matters involving individual plaintiffs, and quick resolution without court intervention for parties facing subpoenas and other demands.

Pro Bono

Eric takes pride in his extensive pro bono achievements, having successfully represented marginalized individuals in several contexts. He won asylum for an indigenous woman who settled in the United States fleeing gang violence more than 10 years ago. He served on the two-person case team that won habeas relief for a Wisconsin prisoner denied his Sixth Amendment rights. And he played a key role in the trial team that defeated a lawsuit by the Sons of Confederate Veterans to preserve Confederate statues at the heart of a violent protest in Charlottesville, Virginia. Most recently, Eric helped defeat a motion to dismiss on behalf of a college student who suffered severe mistreatment at the hands of campus police.
