DLA Piper advises Macquarie Technology Group
Global law firm DLA Piper has advised Australian cloud, data centre, government cyber security and telecom company Macquarie Technology Group on its AUD160 million capital raising.
“We were pleased to advise Macquarie Technology Group on its first capital raising since being listed 24 years ago,” said Sydney-based David Ryan, Corporate Partner, DLA Piper.
Macquarie Technology Group is focused on the under-served corporate customer.
“The capital raising will assist in balance sheet strengthening and in strategic investment into their data centre portfolio,” David said.
DLA Piper's team comprised David Ryan (Partner, Corporate) and Julia Krapeshlis (Solicitor, Corporate).
“The capital raising is testament to Macquarie Technology Group’s sound fundamentals and focus on growth opportunities. It’s reputation as a challenger in the IT industry has been recognised by investors,” David added.
For the 13th consecutive year, DLA Piper was the highest-ranked legal advisor in the world for M&A deal volume, according to Mergermarket's league tables. The firm was involved in 1,131 transactions worldwide in 2022.
