DLA PIPER advised STG on sale of Trace One to Main Capital Partners
DLA Piper has advised STG, a California based private equity firm focused on investments in the mid-market, software sector, on the agreement to sell Trace One to Main Capital Partners, a European private equity fund focused on B2B software.
Trace One is a SaaS software publisher specialising in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and compliance, recognised in the agri-food, cosmetics and chemicals sectors. Based in Paris, the company offers a platform used by more than 9,000 international brands. The group has undergone significant international expansion since its acquisition by STG in 2021, a transaction in which DLA Piper also acted as advisor to STG.
This new transaction showcases DLA Piper’s strong capabilities of advising on international and highly strategic operations for the account of its very well-established private equity clients like STG.
Evercore served as the financial advisor to STG.
The DLA Piper team was led by Corporate partners Charles Severs and Sarmad Haidar. They were supported by Counsel Jean Senard and Associate Antoine Gravier on transactional M&A and corporate aspects and by partner Sophie Lok and Associate Matthieu Loonis on financing aspects.
