Izabela Gębal has more than 15 years of experience advising on corporate law and civil law.
She supports Polish and foreign clients on M&A transactions and private equity investments, structuring deals, negotiating conditions, drafting documentation and coordinating due diligence processes. She has worked on many of the most significant transactions on the Polish market in recent years, advising investment banks, private equity funds, international corporations and private individuals.
Thanks to her extensive transactional experience and in-depth knowledge of sale/purchase agreements (involving shares and other assets), Izabela has successfully assisted many sellers and purchasers, as well as entities from the insurance sector, in obtaining W&I insurance.
In addition, Izabela advises on the reorganising and restructuring of companies and capital groups, as well as providing ongoing corporate support to clients from various sectors and assisting foreign companies in entering the Polish market (establishing companies and branches).
Izabela leads the W&I practice within the Corporate team of DLA Piper’s Warsaw office. Recognised as one of the few practitioners in Poland specialising in W&I, Izabela regularly authors publications and thought leadership pieces on liability issues in sale and purchase agreements, with a particular focus on W&I insurance.
She is also actively involved in professional associations and initiatives that promote the advancement and visibility of women in the legal profession.
