DLA Piper advise SPE Capital on strategic minority stake in Holged

DLA Piper has advised SPE Capital, a private equity firm focused on Africa and the Middle East, on its acquisition of a strategic minority stake in Holding Générale d’Education (Holged), from TPG Growth, the middle market and growth equity platform of TPG, and Satya Capital. The acquisition was made for SPE Capital’s private equity fund SPE AIF I.

Holged has established itself as one of the leading private education group in Morocco and Tunisia, through a series of successful acquisitions. This partnership will enable SPE Capital to support Holged and its management team in accelerating its growth initiatives, enabling the continuous improvement of its infrastructure and maintaining the group’s standards of excellence.

The DLA Piper team was led by Christophe Bachelet, Managing Partner of DLA Piper in Morocco and supported by Corporate Lead Lawyer, Ghita Moussaid and Associate, Léa Attias.
