María has negotiated with governmental and private parties as well as provided legal structuring and documentation on merger and acquisitions in corporate structuring and employment matters.

  • Advised a multinational infrastructure, financial services and healthcare corporation in the restructuring of its businesses in Mexico
  • Advised a Fortune 500 company provider of paper-based packaging solutions in the acquisition of a local packaging company in Mexico
  • Advised a global Canadian chain of luxury hotels that operates properties worldwide in connection with the structuring, development, construction, financing and marketing of fractional ownership products in Mexico

Prior Experience

Before joining DLA Piper, María was a partner in the boutique law firm which combined with DLA Piper in February 2015. Earlier in her career, she practiced at a prominent Mexican law firm, concentrating on corporate, foreign investment, financial and international law.
