Ewa is the partner who leads the firm's IPT practice in Poland and co-leads the global data protection, privacy, and cybersecurity team within the firm's international structure.
For more than 20 years she has been advising clients on legal issues related to data protection and advanced technologies.
She is particularly experienced in working with major players from highly regulated industries (banking, insurance, media and technology), combining her know-how in commercial contracts with an in-depth knowledge of regulatory matters.
Ewa has advised clients on large-scale global privacy compliance programmes, cross-border data transfers, data security policies and whistleblowing issues.
She regularly supports clients in complex GDPR compliance projects, conducting data management audits, drafting the required GDPR documentation, and advising on data processing for marketing purposes. She also advises clients during data breach incidents, assisting with risk assessments, data breach notifications and subsequent regulatory proceedings. Ewa often represents clients before courts in proceedings related to data breaches and GDPR enforcement.
Ewa was an expert of the Polish Bank Association, where she participated in the preparation of a Code of Good Practice to comply with the GDPR.
She also specialises in technology law, including AI, cloud computing, e-commerce, broadcasting and distribution contracts, as well as on licensing agreements and agreements for the implementation and maintenance of IT systems. Ewa is a regular speaker at privacy and technology law conferences and lectures on AI law at the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN).
