NIS2 – Six months on

Unpacking the challenges of a partially-implemented EU cybersecurity directive

13 May 2025, 12:00 – 13:00 CEST | 11:00 – 12:00 BST

Zoom webinar

The NIS2 Directive, which came into effect in January 2023, is revolutionizing the cybersecurity landscape across the EU. Designed to address the evolving cybersecurity threats in the digital space, NIS2 expands its reach, imposes stricter security requirements, and introduces tougher penalties for non-compliance including personal liability for management bodies. Since its implementation deadline in October 2024, EU Member States have been actively working to integrate these new standards into their national laws, creating a dynamic and rapidly changing environment. However, six months on, only a handful of Member States have finalised their implementation, making compliance particularly challenging, particularly for in-scope companies operating across multiple Member States.

We are delighted to invite you to our upcoming webinar hosted by the DLA Piper’s Data, Privacy and Cybersecurity group on 13 May, 12:00-13:00 CEST, where we will discuss these challenges as well as key developments and insights since the NIS2 implementation deadline.

We will be unpacking tricky concepts around management bodies and the main establishment concept, reviewing the current status of Member State implementation and any divergences from the Directive when transposed into national law, and focusing on recently published EU guidance and implementation guidelines. We will also look at how NIS2 falls within the wider EU Digital Decade, and how DLA Piper's approach can help you comply with multiple laws using a single, unified approach.

Whether you are already familiar with the Directive or new to the topic, this session will offer valuable information to help you stay ahead in the constantly changing world of cybersecurity regulations.
