Vivian has experience working on a range of IP, technology and data protection matters, including advising local and multinational companies on information technology agreements, data protection and privacy issues, telecommunications regulatory advice and handling the renewal, registration and transfer of trade marks.

Vivian has experience in the public sector working on data gathering projects. She has cultivated an interest in emerging technologies and the opportunities and potential privacy implications these technologies present.

  • Advising a multinational corporation on a privacy breach and its notification obligations under New Zealand privacy laws.
  • Advising a multinational company on product testing for compliance and the shipping of prototypes to New Zealand.
