DLA Piper advises EDPR on the sale of 149 MW wind portfolio in Poland to Mirova

DLA Piper has advised EDP Renewables Polska (EDPR) on the sale of 100% equity stake in a 149 MW Polish wind portfolio to Mirova, an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers, for an enterprise value of approximately EUR303 million (EUR2 million per MW).

The transaction comprises six wind farms, out of which 20 MW are in operation since 2020 and 129 MW are under construction with expected CoD until 2021. The transaction is subject to regulatory and other customary precedent conditions.

EDPR is a Polish subsidiary of EDP Renováveis, S.A., a global leader in the renewable energy sector and the world’s fourth-largest wind energy producer. EDPR is part of the EDP Group and throughout over 40 years of history has built a relevant position in the world energy scene, which is supported by its presence in 22 countries, in four continents.

The DLA Piper Warsaw-based team was led by Co-Managing Partner in Poland Jacek Giziński and senior associate Klaudia Lorent. The firm supported the client in drafting and negotiating all the transaction documents.
