Kamal Apatira litigates a broad range of matters, including product liability class actions, business and commercial disputes, and white-collar criminal investigations. Kamal supports high stakes Department of Justice investigations and helps clients navigate multifaceted legal challenges to achieve successful outcomes. He plays a key role in medical device litigation involving contraceptive devices and insulin pens.

Kamal advances equitable access to legal services by handling numerous pro bono cases and volunteer projects throughout the year. His pro bono practice focuses on assisting individuals with immigration applications, partnering with community organizations to assist youth in litigation matters, and advising community organizations on legal policy issues.

  • Represented a manufacturing client in successfully opposing an application under 28 U.S.C. § 1782 brought by a global plaintiffs' firm seeking expansive US discovery for use in foreign proceedings
  • Represented a manufacturing company in a post-settlement indemnification dispute against a hospital, seeking allocation and reimbursement of payments the client made in a prior resolution of claims arising from hospital error
  • Supported the products liability team in multi-matter litigation and risk counseling involving various contraceptive devices
  • Coordinated and advanced indemnity claims on behalf of a major quick-service restaurant enterprise against an upstream supplier for damages attributable to defective product
  • Supported the business and commercial team in pursuing breach of contract claims on behalf of a regenerative medicine company
