Brandon Rios

Brandon Rios helps organizations and senior leaders anticipate, navigate, and resolve high-stakes congressional investigations and related government scrutiny. Drawing on more than a decade of experience in the White House, on Capitol Hill, and in state government, he advises clients at every stage of a congressional investigation, from initial inquiries and document requests to staff briefings, subpoenas, witness preparation, hearings, and related parallel proceedings.

Brandon brings a practical understanding of how government investigations develop and where early decisions can materially shape the outcome. He works with legal, government affairs, communications, compliance, and business teams to assess risk, develop a coordinated response, and protect the client's legal position, reputation, and broader business priorities.

Before joining DLA Piper, Brandon handled sensitive litigation and investigations in the White House, including matters involving the White House, the National Security Council, the Department of State, the Department of Defense, and the Intelligence Community. He previously led major congressional investigations as counsel to the House Committee on Oversight and Reform and represented state agencies and officials as an Assistant Attorney General in Massachusetts. Brandon serves as Co-Lead, Congressional Investigations Practice.
