DLA Piper advises Nemetschek on acquisition of DEXMA by subsidiary Spacewell

DLA Piper has advised the Nemetschek group, one of the world's leading software providers for the Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Owner-operated (AECO) industry, on the acquisition of 100% of the shares in DEXMA by its subsidiary Spacewell. DEXMA, based in Barcelona, Spain, is a fast-growing provider of innovative ‘software as a service’ (SaaS) solutions with artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities for energy data management.

DEXMA complements Nemetschek’s existing portfolio aimed at facility management, property management, and smart buildings, with the provision of data-driven energy intelligence. With its SaaS solutions, facility and property managers, energy services providers and consultants, DEXMA software can optimize client’s energy transition and sustainability goals, such as lowering the carbon footprint of buildings.

Founded in 1963, the Nemetschek Group is a pioneer for digital transformation in the AECO industry. The innovative solutions of its 16 brands in the four customer-oriented divisions are used by more than six million users worldwide. It is publicly listed on the MDAX and TecDAX exchanges and achieved revenues of EUR556.9 million in 2019.
