About

Huw specialises in intellectual property law, with a particular focus on brand protection and enforcement. He advises clients across the full spectrum of IP matters, including ownership, maintenance, protection and commercialisation of intellectual property rights, as well as clearance work and dispute resolution – both pre-action and through formal litigation.

Huw has been involved in ground-breaking litigation, including securing a first of its kind “persons unknown” injunction to combat the sale of counterfeit products. He has extensive experience in designing, managing and implementing large-scale IP enforcement programmes. He has also successfully obtained site-blocking injunctions on behalf of rights owners against major UK broadband providers to restrict access to infringing content.

Huw is recognised in leading legal directories, including as a Key Lawyer in The Legal 500 and a Rising Star in IP Stars. One client commented "My team has nothing but wonderful things to say about him and the efficient, thorough, and positive results he’s achieving for our brand!"
