Bahrain signs Double Tax Treaty with UAE

On 11 February 2024, Bahrain signed a Double Tax Treaty (DTT) with the UAE, during the Annual Arab Fiscal Forum and the World Governments Summit, held in Dubai. We will report on further developments as they occur.

UAE and Egypt sign Protocol to Double Tax Treaty

On 11 February 2024, the UAE and Egypt have signed an amending Protocol to the DTT between the two jurisdictions. Further developments will be reported as and when they occur.

Oman negotiates Double Tax Treaty with Azerbaijan

According to a press release of 16 February 2024, Oman and Azerbaijan have negotiated a DTT between the two countries. Whilst most DTT provisions appear to have been agreed between the two parties, discussions will continue at the next round of negotiation. Further developments will be reported as and when they occur.

Oman and Cyprus agree to finalize Double Tax Treaty

According to a press release of 28 January 2024, Oman and Cyprus have agreed to finalize a DTT between the two jurisdictions. We will report on further developments as they occur.
