Katie Hausfeld and Kerry Johnson named to Crain's Chicago Business Notable Women in Law list

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Katie Hausfeld, a partner in the firm’s Litigation and Regulatory practice, and Kerry Johnson, a partner in the Finance practice and US co-chair of the Real Estate sector, have been named to Crain’s Chicago Business’s Notable Women in Law list.

Hausfeld focuses her practice on corporate investigations and compliance, white collar criminal matters and complex civil litigation. She regularly advises both US and multinational companies in connection with internal investigations and enforcement actions conducted by the US Department of Justice, the US Securities and Exchange Commission and other federal and state enforcement agencies. She also assists her clients in designing and implementing risk-based compliance programs that meet the ever-evolving expectations of regulatory and enforcement agencies, including compliance with anti-corruption and anti-money laundering regulations.

Johnson concentrates on securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance matters and general corporate law. Her primary focus is the real estate industry, particularly exchange-listed real estate investment trusts (REITs) and their underwriters. A significant portion of her practice includes representation of exchange-listed REITs in initial public offerings, secondary offerings, at-the-market offerings and follow-on public offerings of debt and equity securities, as well as private securities offerings under Rule 144A and Regulation D. She also represents leading investment banking firms in initial public offerings and follow-on public and private offerings of equity and debt securities.
