This has presented our clients with a mixed bag of opportunity and risk around the world. Through our global footprint we give clients localised advice which helps them to navigate this complex global market. The Mergermarket rankings clearly show the volume of deals that we work on across the globe and the market leading positions we hold in many countries. This level of exposure allows us to understand the market environment our clients operate in, wherever they do business, and lets us help clients unlock new ways to grow.”

“To be named as the number one legal advisor in terms of deal count for the fourteenth year running is not only an incredible achievement but also a testament to the strength of the firm’s M&A team across the globe. None of this would be achievable without our outstanding people and their commitment to providing exceptional results for our clients,” added Andrew Gilbert, chair of DLA Piper’s US Corporate practice.

“To be recognized again for leading on the number of global deals we work on speaks to the client-centric mindset shared by all of our M&A lawyers around the world,” said Kathleen Ruhland, global co-chair of DLA Piper’s Corporate practice. “We are proud to be a valued partner and advisor to our clients, helping them to achieve their most important ambitions. It is an honor to be placed in such a position, and I would like to express our collective heartfelt thanks for the trust that they put in us.”
