About

Katherine is a Legal Director in the DLA Piper Technology and Sourcing Group. She has significant experience advising on a wide range of complex technology and outsourcing projects, including large scale IT transformation, hybrid cloud procurement, ERP deployment and integration projects.

Katherine's work spans many sectors, with a particular focus on the public sector and financial services, and she is a trusted and experienced advisor for her clients' strategically critical projects.

Katherine’s clients include the Ministry of Defence, HMRC, other government departments and major payment service providers.

EXPERIENCE

  • Advising Ministry of Defence in relation to the procurement of a tri-service recruiting solution.
  • Advising HMG in relation to the selection of an ERP implementation partner and vendor in relation to use of its public/dedicated cloud.
  • Advising HMG on a large-scale transformational technology project, including negotiation of a framework contract and associated statements of work involving a complex and intensive negotiation period.
  • Advising a major payment service provider in relation to the drafting and negotiation of strategic incentive agreements.
  • Advising HMRC on the procurement of a contract for the provision of a hosting platform and support services for business critical legacy applications, which had previously been provided under two long term contracts with the supplier, both of which were approaching whole or partial expiry. Katherine worked as an integrated part of the HMRC core team which consisted of Sols and the client's commercial and technical team.
