About

Anthony Mersich is a restructuring and insolvency lawyer in DLA Piper’s Calgary office. Anthony advises and acts on behalf of financial institutions, debtors, trade creditors, and court-officers in insolvency and debt enforcement proceedings, including receiverships, foreclosures, bankruptcies, proposals and restructurings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act.

Anthony takes a practical approach to efficiently resolve challenges for both debtors and creditors. Anthony has appeared at all levels of court in Alberta and is an executive for the CBA Alberta insolvency section. Prior to practicing law, Anthony was a geophysicist in Alberta’s oil and gas sector, and he is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta.
