Hayley Ostrin is an intellectual property lawyer, with a specialization in international trade, specifically Section 337 investigations in front of the International Trade Commission (ITC). She is also experienced in complex litigation in other forums including district courts, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and Rule 177 proceedings before U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Exclusion Order Enforcement Branch. Prior Experience

Between 2023 and 2025, Hayley served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert W. Schroeder III, of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, where she managed jury trials, covered civil and criminal dockets, and assisted with special sittings at the Fifth Circuit and the Federal Circuit. Prior to her clerkship, Hayley worked in intellectual and international trade boutique law firms in Washington, D.C. While in law school at the University of Texas, Hayley served as Editor in Chief of the Journal of Law and Technology as well as President of the Law Yoga Club.
