About

Taylor Reed is a commercial litigation associate with extensive hands-on experience in all phases of litigation and trial. She has served as first chair in thirteen jury trials, demonstrating a proven ability to advocate effectively in the courtroom. Taylor's practice encompasses a broad range of commercial litigation matters, including complex commercial disputes, real estate litigation, commercial banking issues, insurance matters, partnership disputes, and employment litigation.

Taylor is uniquely positioned to handle cross-border disputes, leveraging her fluency in Spanish to analyze contractual issues and causes of action arising from Spanish-language agreements. Her language skills and cultural fluency enable her to represent clients in matters involving international parties and cross-jurisdictional complexities. With a significant emphasis on Texas state court litigation, Taylor brings deep knowledge of local procedures and practices, providing clients with strategic guidance tailored to the Texas legal landscape.

Taylor is actively involved in the Dallas Bar Association, Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, and the J.L. Turner Legal Association. She has been recognized by her peers and the legal community, including honors such as Texas Rising Star by Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch, and 40 Under 40 by the National Black Lawyers.

Taylor earned her B.A. in psychology and Spanish from Southern Methodist University, where she was a member of the Sigma Delta Pi Spanish Honors Society. She received her J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law, where she was named to the Dean's List, served as a Distinguished Member of the Oklahoma City Law Review, and was president of the John E. Green Black Law Student's Association.

Taylor is committed to giving back to her community and the next generation of legal professionals. She serves as Outside Counsel for the North Texas Food Bank, a career liaison for Southern Methodist University Athletics' Life After Ball program—helping student athletes explore careers in the law—and as an alumni mentor for Oklahoma City University School of Law.
