About

Stacey Weber is an associate in DLA Piper's telecommunications practice. She has experience in wireless and telecommunications issues both nationally and globally, including rural connectivity and deployment, 5G, and supply chain security. She has participated in comment cycles before the Federal Communications Commission addressing small satellite licensing and receiver interference policy, as well as co-authored reports on resolving harmful interference and developing the 5G ecosystem.

Stacey has experience working in teams that bring together legal, engineering, and business development professionals to harmonize multifaceted needs and goals. Prior to joining DLA Piper, she worked in cross-disciplinary teams to create a compendium of encryption law and policy resources, to investigate petitions for waiver from the FCC to Part 15 rules in ultra-wideband systems, and to develop contracts for content licensing and educational technology. She prioritizes cultivating an extensive understanding of the technology she works with to craft practical and effective solutions.

Stacey appreciates that emerging technology also raises issues in privacy, and she has experience in developing privacy policies compliant with US and European privacy law, as well as addressing the unique privacy challenges of virtual and augmented reality technologies.
