Jack Brumpton is a projects lawyer, focussed on advising clients in the energy and resources sector.

Jack assists clients with legal issues arising in the development and operation of energy and resources projects. He also assists clients in a wide range of commercial transactions in the energy and resources sector.

Jack’s experience includes advising on project approvals, production sharing contracts and other concessions, joint ventures, commodity sales and transportation, acquisitions and divestments, and regulatory compliance for oil and gas, mining, power and emissions reduction projects.

After starting his career working on projects and transactions in various Australian jurisdictions, Jack has more recently been working closely with the Government of Timor-Leste on projects in the Timor Sea and onshore Timor-Leste. He has also advised on projects in Papua New Guinea and several other Asia-Pacific jurisdictions.
