DLA Piper enters partnership with Middle East Venture Capital Association to further enhance the VC ecosystem across MENA

DLA Piper has partnered with Middle East Venture Capital Association (MEVCA) to advance the region’s venture capital industry and greater entrepreneurial ecosystem, by raising awareness about venture capital through educational programs, seminars and events.

Yasmin Al Mostehy, Executive Director at MEVA comments “DLA Piper is the perfect partner us as they are a global law firm with a market-leading venture capital practice and deep history working in the technology ecosystem of Silicon Valley. With almost 1,000 lawyers worldwide, their corporate group advises the world's leading technology companies, as well as financial institutions and buyout and investment funds on a broad range of local, regional and cross-border transactions throughout the region”.

As a forum for the regular exchange of experiences and ideas among the venture community, MEVCA serves as both a unified voice of the regional investment community, and as an advocate for venture-backed companies.

DLA Piper’s Head of Corporate Middle East, Will Seivewright, commented “This is a very exciting time for venture capital in the region. DLA Piper looks forward to having a close working relationship with MEVCA, and together supporting and growing the region's venture capital ecosystem”.
