Oliver Burkeman

Oliver Burkeman is a best-selling author and keynote speaker. His books include Four Thousand Weeks, Time and How to Use It [Penguin Vintage, 2021] as well as The Antidote: Happiness for People Who Can’t Stand Positive Thinking [Penguin Vintage, 2012] and Help! How to Become Slightly Happier and Get a Bit More Done [Penguin Vintage, 2011]. For many years Oliver wrote a popular weekly column on psychology for the Guardian, This Column Will Change Your Life. His work has also appeared in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Psychologies and New Philosopher. He has a devoted following for his writing on productivity, mortality, the power of limits, and building a meaningful life in an age of bewilderment.

Dress Code

There is no dress code for the conference. Most delegates will be in smart / business casual attire.

Travel

Pembroke College is at Pembroke Square, Oxford, OX1 1DW. We recommend that you take public transport where possible as parking options are limited. Get directions to Pembroke College.

By rail: Pembroke College is very centrally located, approximately 10 minutes’ walk from Oxford rail station.

By car: We recommend that delegates do not drive to Oxford as we are unable to offer car parking at the college but we can provide information about public car parks near to the college. If you are using GPS to find your way to Pembroke, the main college postcode is OX1 1DW, and the GAB is OX1 4NJ.

By air: From Heathrow airport, you can take a taxi (approx. 1 hour), bus or train to Oxford. There are also direct bus services from Gatwick, London, Stansted and Birmingham International airport.
