Womens Leadership Conference

On March 6, 2025, Naomi Maryles participated in a panel discussion on the topic, “Climbing the Corporate Ladder – Why Women’s Leadership in the Business Sector Matters,” as part of World Emunah’s Women’s Leadership Conference in celebration of International Women’s Day. Attended by hundreds of women, the event focused on Anglo immigrants to Israel.

Conference speakers talked about creating a work/life balance, being role models for the next generation, the value of women having a seat at the decision-making table, the strength of diverse groups, and more.

Naomi shared that, from her perspective, the most important action women can take to get ahead in the business world in Israel is to network. She pointed out that the Anglo immigrant community in Israel is so small that anyone is only one degree of separation from anyone else, making almost everyone in the ecosystem accessible – and, from her experience, willing to help. As she noted, “Not one person who I’ve reached out to for a coffee meeting in the 10+ years since I made Aliyah has said ‘no’ to me!”

For the past few years, DLA Piper Israel has hosted smaller International Women’s Day events for clients, but we have always dreamed of organizing a large event for the wider community. We were thrilled, then, to both co-sponsor this wonderful conference and take part in it.
