The discussion comes as artificial intelligence (AI) continues to reshape how companies compete, price, distribute products, and manage risk, and as competition authorities around the world increasingly focus on the antitrust implications of AI-driven business practices.

At the same time, Mexico’s 2025 competition law reforms are contributing to a changing compliance landscape across North America, bringing new information-sharing prohibitions, expanded private damages, and the establishment of a national antitrust commission.

US–Mexico relations also continue to evolve, alongside the US government’s recent designation of certain Mexican cartels as Foreign Terrorist Organizations and increased interagency enforcement cooperation, presenting implications for companies operating in Mexico.
