The impact of “Brexit” on UK pensions
The UK left the EU on 31 January 2020. We are in a Transition Period that will end on 31 December 2020. Negotiations are ongoing for a new deal with the EU.
UK pension scheme trustees are again being advised to consider the possible impact of Brexit on UK pensions arrangements. Given the likelihood of a wide-ranging “full” deal appears (currently) to be receding, what follows assumes a no or limited UK/EU “deal”.
