Ontario implementing additional public health and testing measures

On October 2, 2020, the government of Ontario announced it is tightening public health measures again as COVID-19 cases continue to soar in the province.

In their latest announcement, the government has instituted new measures for testing, such as transitioning to appointment-based testing on October 6th, 2020. Additionally, targeted measures will also be implemented in Ottawa, Peel, and Toronto as a result of their higher than average rates of transmission. These new targeted measures, which came into effect October 3rd, 2020, include restricting the capacity for certain businesses, halting the reopening of businesses still closed, and pausing social circles.

Please see more detail in the new release from the government here.

The COVID-19 situation is rapidly evolving with new measures being adopted or modified at both the federal and provincial level.
