Announcing DLA Piper’s Global Guide to Corporate Power Purchase Agreements

A Corporate Power Purchase Agreement is a long-term contract under which a commercial or industrial buyer seeks to purchase renewable energy and renewable energy credits either directly or virtually from the generator of the renewable energy. These structured agreements allow the buyer to shift to green energy and provide financial certainty for the developer, removing significant roadblocks to financing and constructing new renewable facilities.

At a time when sustainability and environmental issues are coming to the fore, our renewables team is actively assisting corporate and industrial buyers in achieving their green targets through on-site and off-site power purchase agreements.

To continue in this effort, DLA Piper is proud to announce its global guide to Corporate Power Purchase Agreements.  This interactive dedicated online resource covers business-relevant issues important to practitioners, in-house counsel and companies striving to understand the key intricacies of corporate power purchase agreements: PPA structures and parties involved; challenges; and regulatory issues.  It provides information from 27 jurisdictions around the world.  For instance, see the United States information here
