To help businesses assess the maturity of their trade secrets protection and identify weaknesses, we have created an easy to use tool based on EU law which tests:

• The awareness level across the business (including knowledge of the concept of trade secrets and their potential value to the organization).
• Maturity in dealing with proprietary commercial and/or technical information including the effective implementation of a trade secrets management strategy and any red flags that require immediate intervention.
• Maturity of the controls and processes in place when dealing with third party commercial and/or technical information; whether there are adequate contractual measures, policies and employee training.
• Overall maturity of the existing trade secrets protection strategy; evaluating whether internal measures still comply in light of advancements in technology and increasing cyber security threats. Once an overall maturity level is determined, the user will be provided with an overview of the best course of action to implement, improve, maintain, and monitor the organization’s trade secrets protection strategy.
