Remembering Senior Paralegal Jacki Park

We are saddened by the loss of Senior Paralegal Jacki Park, a pro bono advocate, in September 2024.

Based in Raleigh, Jacki Park frequently devoted many hours to pro bono efforts, with a special focus on veterans’ rights. She worked on the National Veterans Legal Services Program (NVLSP) Military File Review project, an initiative that helps identify veterans who may be eligible for discharge upgrades. In 2023, Jacki devoted more than 250 hours to this project. In prior years, Jacki also served as the intake coordinator for the Delaware VA Legal Clinic hotline. Her work included screening calls, administering the clinic, and finding help for those who were not eligible.

Jacki embodied the firm’s pro bono values of courage, compassion, and commitment, and her legacy of service is an inspiration to us all.

“Service to others was a core value for Jacki. Not only did she serve the lawyers and paying clients for whom she worked, but she was also dedicated to her pro bono clients and served her church congregation in a counseling role. Jacki was caring, humble, and positive, even in the face of adversity. She was enthusiastically appreciative of beautiful days, enjoying long hikes and camping trips with her partner Tom and her dog Panda. She is greatly missed.”
