Access the EU's European Electronic Communications Code on the move

The EU General Data Protection Regulation, which came into force in May 2018, introduced some of the most stringent data protection laws in the world. It is vital for anyone working with customer data to be familiar with its contents.

To help you navigate the GDPR, DLA Piper has created the DLA Piper GDPR mobile app. Available on Apple and Android devices, it allows you to access the full text of the General Data Protection Regulation on the move. The fully searchable text comes in 16 languages, links articles and recitals to show how they are related, and adds references back to provisions of the earlier Directive 95/46/EC.

Following Brexit, the DLA Piper GDPR App now includes both EU and UK versions of the GDPR:

  1. the original GDPR text, in force across the EU since May 2018, and
  2. the separate UK GDPR, applicable to the UK since January 2021.

Supported languages include Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Slovakian, Spanish and Swedish.
