DLA Piper advises ABS Capital Partners in Series C financing of SquadLocker
DLA Piper represented ABS Capital Partners in its investment in SquadLocker, a leading provider of online tools and services for teams and organizations to manage custom apparel and equipment purchasing. ABS led the US$20 million Series C financing round.
SquadLocker plans to use the funds to further develop growth initiatives, including the expansion of channel partner relationships. Incorporated in 2015, the company helps coaches, organizers and administrators design and distribute uniforms, player gear and spiritwear to youth organizations and schools throughout North America.
"SquadLocker's innovative technology and platform are disrupting the sports apparel market, and we are pleased to have brought together our broad venture capital capabilities and experience in the sports and technology sectors to assist ABS with its investment in the company's growth," said Eric Grossman, a DLA Piper partner who led the firm's deal team.
In addition to Grossman (Northern Virginia), the DLA Piper team representing ABS included of counsel Matthew Vandergoot; managing director Isabel De Obaldia; and associates Ryan Selis and Tiffany Ngyuen (all of Northern Virginia).
