DLA Piper wins Finance Dublin 2020 Deals of the Year Award and is short-listed for two others
DLA Piper’s work on Ardagh Group’s securitisation (Ardagh/Trivium ABS Trade Receivables) has been named “Finance Deal of the Year” by Finance Dublin Magazine’s 2020 Deals of the Year Awards. The firm also had two deals short-listed in other categories - Vindin AB’s refinancing was recognised in the Loans & Financing category while PKO Leasing’s securitisation was shortlisted for Debt Capital Markets: Structured Finance.
Head of Finance in Ireland, Conor Houlihan commented:
“It is an honour for us to have won such a prestigious award, which is backed-up by two short-listed deals, quite an achievement within the first year after the official opening of our office in Ireland. The deals, and the recognition received, are a real endorsement of our strategy and our belief that there is strong demand in the Irish market for a firm such as ours with a truly global reach, providing Irish companies and multinationals with globally benchmarked advice on complex, cross-border matters.
“The deals also reflect the range of work that we undertake across different sectors and practice-streams, namely Structured Investment & Capital Markets; Leveraged Finance and Projects and our Financial Services and Energy & Natural Resources sectors.“
“One of the unique elements of our offering and our involvement in these deals is that our Irish team sits within one of the largest teams of dedicated finance lawyers in the world and our natural way of working is as part of a seamless international team covering not just the Irish law elements, but also the applicable laws of the US, UK and/or any of the other forty countries in which we operate.”
