DLA Piper lawyer elected INSOL Europe Council Member
DLA Piper Restructuring counsel Florian Bruder has been elected member of the Council of the INSOL Europe insolvency association, where he will represent Germany for the next three years, effective 2 October 2020.
Founded in 1981, INSOL Europe is the European organisation of professionals who specialise in insolvency, business reconstruction and recovery. Its mission is to take the leading role in European issues of insolvency and also of business recovery and turnaround situations of business organisations. It is also to facilitate the exchange of information and ideas and exchange of professional experience amongst its members and to have discussions with official European and International bodies who are affected by the insolvency process, or who have a role to play in the saving of businesses and jobs.
Florian focuses on advising investors, creditors and debtors on cross-border acquisitions, restructurings, especially financial and bond restructurings, and as well as insolvencies. He covers all aspects of financial and corporate restructurings, in out-of-court as well as in-court situations.
Commenting on his appointment, Florian said: “I am delighted to have been elected Council Member of INSOL Europe and look forward to working with my fellow council members over the next three years to discuss and find solutions for the practical challenges in cross-border restructurings and insolvencies.”
