DLA Piper Canada acted for Reunion Foods in Series A financing
On November 13, 2020, Reunion Foods Inc. (“Reunion Foods”) closed a $8 million Series A financing. The financing was led by a new investor, Forage Capital Partners, alongside Export Development Canada and included substantial support from existing investor, Whitecap Venture Partners. DLA Piper Canada was pleased to have acted for Reunion Foods on this transaction.
Reunion Foods makes a line of fresh, consciously crafted and plant-powered dressings, marinades, dips, condiments and quesos under the Mother Raw brand. New funding will help further propel rapid growth of Mother Raw across North America, well timed with the massive growth in the plant-based foods sector and booming consumer demand. Mother Raw plans to expand its distribution footprint, increase R&D efforts for new product innovation, and amplify marketing and sales initiatives.
